Three people among them an airline employee have been charged with stealing 13.7 Million from African airlines association

Joshua Kipruto Ngetich , Ernest  Njenga Thiiru and Derrick Kiprono Ng’eno who had been charged separately have have their case consolidated today December 18,2025 , where the first accused, Ngetich, an airline employee is accused of stealing by servant.

The three appeared before a presiding Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi who was told that on the diverse dates between January 2022 and January 2024 , the three Conspired to commit a felony namely stealing .

The prosecution also alleges that on diverse dates between January 1,2022 and November 21,2023, at Africa Airlines Association office in South C Nairobi, Ngetich was an accountant of the Airline, stole KSh 13,756,798 which had come to his possession by verge of his employment

He’s also accused of forging a certain document namely the memorandum of association for Blue North Solutions Limited purporting to have been duly signed by Syomon Cheruiyot

The second accused person Ernest Njenga Thiiru is as well alleged to have stolen ksh13,756,798 the property of African Airline Association which came as a verge of his employment

Joshua kipruto ngetich and Blue North Solutions are also charged jointly for stealing ksh4,220,069.

The court was told that between the January 1, 2022 and November 21 ,2023 , that the African Airline Association at South C Nairobi, Derrick Kiprono stole money totalling to USD, 35,520 the property of African Airlines Association

The three denied the charges and the court directed that Ernest Njenga Thiiru and Joshua Kipruto Ngetich to be released on a bond of two million with an alternative cash bail of KSh 600,000 while the third accused Derrick Kiprono  Ng’eno was admitted to a bond of KSh 1 million with an alternative cash bail of KSh 300,000

The third accused was only charged with one count of stealing USD35,520
