A Kenyan businessman Koome Kirimi who is wanted by police over an attempt to swindle a rwandese national of his online merchandise trading company has failed to set aside a warrant of arrest issued by milimani chief magistrate’s court
Koome Kirimi through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta told senior principal magistrate Esther Kimilu that the was unaware of any summons to appear in court and he was never served with the same.
He said that the issuance of the warrant of arrest was an abuse of court process since there are several matters which has been filed by the state and lawyers representing the rwandese businessman Desire muhinyuza.
muhinyuza’s lawyer Danstan Omari objected to the lifting of the warrant of arrest on ground that lots of money involved in the dispute are likely to disappear in the event koome is not arrested
Omari says that once police arrest Kirimi they will be able to freeze all the monies involved.
The court will rule on the same tomorrow.
