The attack and killing of two clann elders in mariakani , kilifi county over the weekend has threatened an out of court settlement of a 7000 acre land dispute.
The parties were about to sign a consent on 2nd February 2024 but this has been thrown back to the drawing board.
Jennifer Gichira the mediator who today expressed her disappointment after the chairs of the three clans were on Saturday killed in cold blood,.
Givhira condemned the barbaric acts calling on parties to remain true to their course.

The advocates representing the clans, interested parties and Kilifi county governments told the mediator that the souls of the departed chairs of the clans must be honored by signing of the agreements;
During the attack 83 year old former senior chief Andrew Mwinzangu who was the chair of the Mwakae clan and Mzee gogo chair of the Mwabeja clan were killed .
