Police seek a court custodial order to hold two Chinese and three Kenyans for seven days to investigate incidents of stolen mobile phones.
The prosecution told the court, that the two Chinese ZHOU WENOL and ZHOU GEOFENG ran a factory capable of fabricating mobile phones and police want to establish whether stolen phones are being processed there.
The court was told that several items including phones were confiscated from the factory by the police, and they require time to carry out further investigations to ascertain their real work.
The two Chinese were arrested on Monday and according to investigating officers they have refused to be taken finger prints, nor have they produced their work permits.
The Investigating officers want to extend their investigations to Kenya Bureau of Standards , Kenya Revenue Authority, the counterfeit and migration offices.
The foreigners were arrested alongside , OLIVER ASAVA LUVINZU, KELVIN MUNYETI JESJERI and PATRICK MWANGI MUMBI.
The court will deliver its ruling tomorrow whether it will allow custodial prayers as sort by the DCI.
