Woman in court over fake Ministry of Health PPEs Tender Worth Ksh 37 Million

DCI officers  seek to arrest  officers  from ministry of health headquarters  for  fake shs 37, 500,000 tender  for the supply of PPEs .

sergeant Elias kariuki applied to court to be allowed to  detain mercy wahinya alias Linda masaka for a period of 15 days a woman who is alleged to have obtained PPEs worthy 37,500, 000 from a businessman through a  fake ministryof Health tender , to allow him arrest her accomplishes who work in the health ministry and recover the good supplied.

the investigator says in an affidavit filed  in court that mercy  together with others  who have not been arrested  preseted a letter of notification of award of t tender from the Ministry of Health  dated 4th may,  to Rahma an  agent of BisharYunis Bora  a director of Rockways construction  limited , yunis approached Ibrahim Adan  for the financing of the purchase of the items  .

the items namely hand gloves  , non powered type 20, 000 cartons worthy kshs 19million, and non contact infrared  thermometer 1, 000 pieces at kshs 18,500,000..

sergent elias further told the court that after the  complinent purchased the good , he called the mercy who  sent some of her co accused to pick them, and that later the same day she ssigned an invoice while at  the ministry of health headquarters

the  court was told further that  at the goods were collected by  her co accused in her knowledge.   Ibrahim  decided to go to the ministry of health  headquarters to know when he would be expecting his dues but to his shock he was told that the the tender was not a genuine one.

he reported the matter to parkland police who arrested  the lady mercy on 20th may.

however thw court declined to detain  the accused but ordered that she be released on a cash bail of kshs 200, 000  with one contact person or deposit a bond of kshs 300, 000 plus a surety of the same amount.
