Omutata moves to high court to.challenge county government impeachment Act

Senator  Okiya Omtatah  has moved  to court seeking  to  squash  sections  of the county government  act on impeachment.
Omtatah  in certificate  of urgency  filed in the Constitution  division  of Milimani High Court  is asking  thr Court  to issue  temporary  orders  suspending  sections  11(1) (c) (8) and 11A(1)(b) and 33 (2-9A) of the county  government  17 of 2012.
He wants to issue  temporary  orders prohibiting the national  government, the county assembly  forum, the council  of county  governors, and the Kenya  law reform, who have been  listed  as respondents  from acting  or giving  effects  to the impugned  sections.
He also applied  that the court certifies  the matter  urgent  and the supreme  court to empanel of an even number  of three judges  to hear and determine  his petition.
