NEMA official detained for 14 days in Gas explosion investigation

Another. National Environment  Management Authority (NEMA)official  linked  to Embakasi gas  explosion will be detained for 14 days for investigion.
Senior Principal Magistrate Marthar Nazushi directed Isaac Kipchirchir Kimetei to be detained  as police concludes investigations
Isaac Kipchirchir Kimetei allegedly abdicated  his duty as an official  of NEMA  leading  to the February 1st 2024 Explosion  that has so far claimed  10 lives and properties  of unknown value.
DCI officers  averred  that Kimetei  was directly involved  or is having information that could  aid ongoing investigations.
They  further  submitted  that the subject has  been on the run since the incident and was unreachable for any information.
The prosection  subsequently objected  to respondent’s  lawyer  application  to have him released on bail
If the allegations  are approved  by the DPP, Kimetei  will be charged  with muder, conspiracy  to commit felony,abuse  of office and neglect act causing  harm
