GACHAGUA SUED OVER UTTERANCES AGAINST NOORDIN HAJI

A civilian has moved to court seeking orders to compel the National Cohesion and Integration Commission and the Anti-corruption Commission to investigate Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his utterances on Director General National Intelligence Services Noordin Haji.
Fredrick Bikeri, through the farm, if Dunstan Omari and Associates, filed a petition at the Milimani High Court and further sought orders that Gachagua be investigated and a recommendation for his prosecution be preferred.
Bikeri says the utterances of the Deputy President against Haji are defamatory and says that he will file a further application for defamation.
Addressing the Media outside Milimani Law court, Lawyer Danstan Omari said that his client had instructed him to file the application following utterances by the Deputy President on Wednesday where he accused Haji for failing to advise the President appropriately.
Omari further said that the Director General of NIS does not brief the Deputy President in any way. He only briefs the President.
