Noah okech Oluoch has denied using fake document to secure the position General manager Finance and ICt at Rural Electrification Renewable Energy Corporation
The accused denied the charges of fraudulent acquisition of public of property,forgery and uttering a false document before nairobi anticorruption chief magistrate Thomas Nziona
Its alleged Noah thats between 1st April 2022 to 31st August 2022 in nairobi being a public servant employed as General Manager Finance and ICT at Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation he fraudulently acquired public property in terms of salary and allowance amount to shs 1,455,066.05 from REREC having been employed using a forged degree certificate
Its also alleged that on unknown dates and place within the republic of kenya with intent to deceive he forge a master of business Adminstration degree certificat in the name of Noah Oketch purporting it to be a genuine document issued by the university of nairobi a fact he knew to be false he is also accused that on 23rd march 2021 at REREC with intend to deceive uttered a forged master of business Administration degree certificate in thr on name of noah oluoch oketch CPA peter Mbugua the chief executive officer of REREC purporting if to be a genuine document issued to him by the university of Nairobi a fact he knew to be false
He denied all the charges and the curt ordered that he be released on a cash bail of shs 500,000 or an alternative bond of one million and surety of the same amount
He was also ordered to deposit his passport in court and not to travel out the country without notifying the court
