Former Isiolo south member of parliament Abdi Koropu Tepo has denied pocession of fake US dollar currency notess.
Tepo who appeared before the molimani court was chatg3d that on the 25th july 2024 at Donholm in nairobi he was found in pocession of 34,200 fake US notes.
The former member of parliament was facecharges of pocession of implements.of forgery , in that he was found with 300 pieces of paper intended to resemble and pass a special paper.
In three other counts the former mp denied being in pocession of afirearm and.80 9mm caibre ammunition without firearms licence. He wS further charged with being failing to renew his firearm licence,
His lawyer Eric Theuri pleaded to the court to consider circumstances that the firemer member of parliament is a victim of being scammed.
Senior principal magistrate Benard Ochoi ordered that he be released on a cash bail of hundred thousand or in the alternativea bond and surety.of three hundred thousand.
The cases will be mentioned on 12th August 2024.
